In our third issue, I published my signature hot cocoa recipe. I have been using this recipe since I was 9, and it's always been a creamy, rich hot cocoa recipe that has delighted family and friends. Hot cocoa even gets a mention at the bottom of this website!
Without further ado, here is the recipe :D
Ingredients:
Hot Cocoa Mix (I recommend Starbucks' Classic Hot Cocoa Mix, but Nestle's Rich Hot Chocolate Mix and Nesquik are good options too)
Milk (any type of milk should work fine, but the hot cocoa is richest with whole milk)
Supplies:
A cup or mug (of course)
Microwave
A spoon and optionally a milk frother (this is the one I use — if you don't have a milk frother, a spoon or other stirring utensil works just fine)
Steps:
Pour in 2–3 tablespoons of your chosen hot cocoa mix into the cup.
Pour just enough milk to cover up your cocoa mix — don't fill up more than a third of your cup!
Stir well with your milk frother or other stirring utensil, making sure to dissolve all the clumps of hot cocoa mix at the bottom.
Now, you can fill in the rest of the milk. To avoid it overflowing in the microwave, I recommend leaving an inch or two at the top of your cup.
Stir well again.
Put your cup in the microwave for a minimum of 60 seconds. If you want it extra hot, you can leave it in for 90–120 seconds!
Stir your hot cocoa once more until it turns from a dark brown to a lighter brown.
Enjoy! You can add any desired toppings as well.
This hot cocoa recipe has delighted many for years. I hope you enjoy my signature hot cocoa recipe!

This is what the hot cocoa looks like in-person!
The Sound's World Times wouldn't have been possible without hot cocoa.
Look at that creamy texture!
