Our first-ever special issue is out! :D
Learn more about how you can write articles and contribute to the Sound's World Times.
Since our fourth issue (which was published on February 20, 2026), we have had a dedicated section in our newspaper called "Sound's World Says," where community-written articles can be featured. In other words, it's an Op-Ed section!
If you are interested in submitting an article to be displayed in the "Sound's World Says" section, please DM me (@DatMrDolphin on Discord) with your article, and I will try to get it onto the Times as soon as possible. Usually, up to 3-4 community-written articles can be displayed each week, so if the Sound's World Says section is already filled up for the week, your article may not be displayed until the following week.
When your article makes the Times, you will be pinged in the #general chat of the Sound's World Discord server.
Here are some rules and tidbits about submitting your own article for the Sound's World Times:
Your article must follow Sound's World rules and all Discord policies (ToS, Guidelines, and other policies).
Note: Contrary to traditional newspapers, the Sound's World Times permits swearing in community-written articles. This is because the Sound's World Discord server permits moderate swearing; meaning you may use profanity in your article unless it's senseless or excessive.
So we can allow multiple articles to be featured, we ask that you keep your article shorter than 800 characters. (If the article were longer, it would take up more than half of the page.)
You are not allowed to spread misinformation in your article.
Your article does not have to be about Sound's World (or anything in particular, really). You can write about whatever you'd like as long as you are following these rules!
Your article must be in English and follow basic English conventions (for example, spelling and grammar must be correct).
You may use any dialect of English you like (such as Canadian, American, British, Australian, Indian, New Zealand, Singapore, or other English dialects) as long as you consistently stick with that dialect throughout your article.
The Sound's World Times reserves the right to make minor edits to community-written articles to increase clarity or to correct spelling, grammar, or formatting. The views expressed in the "Sound's World Says" section are those of the individual authors, and don't necessarily reflect the official views of the Sound's World Times or its staff.
What will you write?
